The two most visited and loved parts of the national park other than Mount Rainier itself are two valleys called Sunrise and Paradise. Paradise is the most visited area of the park with more than 70% of visitors checking it out each year. With more than 1.2 million visitors this year alone, Paradise is definitely seen by many.

What makes Paradise so popular?

There are many reasons why Paradise is so popular. Other than having a name that makes you wonder what it is all about Paradise actually does resemble Paradise on land. Paradise is roughly a 5,400 foot area that sits on the south of Mount Rainier inside the national park.

There are 3 historic buildings in Paradise which include; Paradise Inn which was built in 1916, the Paradise Guide House which was built in 1920, and Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center which was built in 1966. Another thing that most people don't know about Paradise in the Mount Rainier National Park is that it is considered the "Snowiest place on earth", which makes it very popular for a cheap skiing holiday.

As you can see visiting Mount Rainier is a very thrilling experience, not only is there a lot to offer but it also has a long history of great stories. One thing that almost everyone knows about Mount Rainier is that the last recorded volcanic eruption was back between 1820 and 1854. In order to see this spectacular mount you can view it by walking along the Wonderland Trail which circles the entire mountain.
