Choosing The Perfect National Park To Take Your Family
Have you thought about seeing some of the National Parks this great country has to offer? There are many different national parks that you can see but you need to pick the best one for you and your family. For me and my family I have decided we would see each and every national park at some point so we just picked the closest one and started from there.
Process to pick the best national park:
If you have kids then this is a longer process. Depending how old your kids are and what they are interested in you will need to do extensive research to find the one that will suit your family best.

If you have young kids that love the water then there are a couple places you should take the, Olympic National Park In Washington State or Hawaii Volcanoes National Park In Hawaii. The nice thing about the Olympic National Park in Washington is that the lake is right there and you can stay right on the lake and only seconds away from swimming, canoeing and jets skis. The great thing about the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is you are just minutes away from warm crystal clear water and the weather is almost always beautiful.
If you have older children who aren't that much into water sports and swimming then maybe they will like hiking better. If you want to have a great hike there are 4 different national parks that I highly recommend. The first 2 national parks I recommend during the winter and these are the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and the Glacier National Park in Montana. Both of these parks look beautiful during the winter months and get a decent amount of snow to cover the ground but make it easy to hike the hundreds of miles of trails. If you want a hard hike in heavy snow then I recommend the Olympic National Park in Washington State.
Now that you know what parks are best for hiking in the winter time lets talk about in the summer time. The national parks that I like the best in the summer time are the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park because summer in Hawaii is gorgeous and you can hike on public trails through lava tubes. I don't know where else in the world you can do this and that is what makes Hawaii so great. The other place I recommend hiking in the summer time is the Joshua Tree National Park in California because not only does it have over 800,000 acres to hike on but it also has 501 archeological sites that you can see on the way.
As you can see picking the best national park to take your family can take some time and a lot more research, I am just giving my personal recommendations of where my family and I went. If you want to have the best time of your life I highly recommend taking in the sights of Hawaii while hiking through the hills and the lava tubes of the volcanoes.
